Week 16 NFL picks

I must be doing something right when it comes to the football picks the past couple of weeks. [picapp align=”right” wrap=”true” link=”term=nfl&iid=7421222″ src=”0/c/6/e/New_York_Giants_d2cd.jpg?adImageId=8664843&imageId=7421222″ width=”380″ height=”249″ /]

Two weeks in a row of 10-6 records, and already 1-0 this week. Not too bad, considering how tough it’s been this year.

The Saints missed their chance last week for a perfect season. They play the 2-12 Bucs this week, and the 6-8 Panthers next week. But the Saints haven’t looked good lately, so it’s not like those two games were guaranteed, but they had a better shot to go undefeated than the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts have won seven games this season by seven points or less, so they know how to win the close games.

But the most surprising thing this year is how bad Pittsburgh has been. The Steelers are 7-7 this season, but a league worst 3-11 against the spread. Yet, they keep being favoured, even against teams that are better, including this week’s game against the Ravens.

The hardest thing this week is how high the spreads are. Seven of the 15 games left this week have spreads of a touchdown or higher.

On to the picks.
