Maybe proving that the video game industry is in disarray, EA announced on Wednesday that it didn’t have a great fiscal year.
In fact, despite having some of the top selling games, Electronic Arts had a $1 billion loss last year.
This follows a year where they lost $454 million.
In spite of this, sales were up.
For those who don’t follow the video game industry, EA is responsible for games such as Rock Band, The Lord of the Rings: Conquest, Left 4 Dead, and Need for Speed: Undercover. They also do all the major sports games, including Madden Football, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Fight Night, NBA and NHL.
Yet, they lost a bunch of money.
How you can lose so much money when you had more than $4 billion in sales? It boggles the mind.
