#74: Ralph Backstrom
Ralph Backstrom played 14 seasons with the Canadiens, and it’s safe to say he was a success there.
He won six Stanley Cups in that time, and made the all-star team six times in those years.
Backstrom’s career with the Habs started off with a bang, as he won the Calder trophy for rookie of the year after getting 18 goals and 40 points in 64 games. That year, he helped the Canadiens win the Stanley Cup.
His career continued to be a great one, even though he was the third-line centre, as he scored at least 20 goals on five different occasions as a Hab.
After his retirement from hockey, Backstrom was the founder and president of the Roller Hockey International.
