Season 5 of Lost begins tonight

So Season 5 of Lost begins tonight on ABC.

I’m sure many of you, like me, are very excited for the new season. This year, the season will be more like 24: no breaks, no reruns, just new episodes every week.

It will be interesting to see how the season unfolds. They’ve gone from more of a mystery show (how did they crash? who are the others? etc), to science fiction (travelling through time, for example).

I think from some of the previews released, it’s pretty obvious the island travelled through time. From the videos below, you can see that John Locke sees a plane crash (I’m guessing the brother of Mr. Eko). As well, everything disappears except for the crash survivors. My guess is that when the island went through time, it went back to the original state it was in at that point in time, not when the survivors were on it.

So Jack Shephard and Ben Linus need to convince the rest of the Oceanic 6 that they need to travel back in time to the island, even though it’s been a few years and they’re living in the future. So they’re in the future, travelling to the past, to save the future. I told you it was becoming more sci fi.

Anyways, we shall see tonight. But to wet your appetite until then, enjoy these two sneak peaks.

Yup, I’ve seen every episode and still have no idea if I’m watching mystery or Sci-Fi. It’s gotten to the point now where there’s so many convoluted plot lines and back stories that I’ve stopped trying to figure everything out, and I just sit and watch it unfold. Last season was pretty good, MUCH better than season 3, where it was all about them being captured by The Others. Hopefully tonight doesn’t disappoint.
