Week 13 quick picks

So it’s the American Thanksgiving today (Happy Thanksgiving to any of you who might be reading this).

And with that comes a great tradition: All-day NFL football.

Since there are three games today, I thought I would give my quick picks to today’s games.

Tennessee Titans at Detroit Lions, Titans favoured by 11 1/2: The Lions seem to do okay at Thanksgiving Day games. And if Tennessee had won against the New York Jets, I would expect the Lions to cover. But the Titans were embarrassed, and will now be looking for revenge. The Lions, well, I don’t even know who most of their starters are anymore (and remember, they’re my favourite team). Pick: Tennessee

Seattle Seahwaks at Dallas Cowboys, Cowboys favoured by 12 1/2: Let’s see: Seattle has trouble scoring, can’t stop anyone, and are on the road. Meanwhile, Tony Romo is back, and the Dallas offence is back on track. This will likely be a blowout. Pick: Dallas.

Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles, Eagles favoured by 2 1/2: Even though they’re at home, I don’t know how the Eagles are the favourites. Philly has a record of 5-5-1. Arizona is 7-4. Kurt Warner is the mid-season pick for NFL MVP. Donovan McNabb looks to be done with the Eagles. They’re a team with two different destinies. Pick: Cardinals.
