So there’s a website out there for people who have horrible neighbours, called Rottenneighbors.
Basically, it’s a database that keeps track of people’s complaints about their neighbours, but points them out using Google maps.
The point is that if you are about to move into a new neighbourhood, you can visit this site to see if you have bad neighbours before buying the house.
I think it’s a good website, but does have to be taken with a grain of salt. Since there is no way to verify the claims, and anyone can submit someone as a bad neighbour, you never know if they are telling the truth. Maybe they are the bad neighbour instead.
Plus, judging from some of the comments, several people on the sites are snobs. Several comments include:
— “Not the sharpest knife in the drawer…guess that’s why he’s a tow truck driver?”
— “Sounds like your neighbors are a bunch of slobs too. You must be up in the back hills of North Carolina with a bunch of hicks who don’t care how their homes look. Wrecker probably fits in to the decor of the neighborhood.”
— “Atleast the guy works. He doesn’t stay home and live off of welfare or disability.”
There’s also an option to search for people who are sex offenders who are now living in your neck of the woods.
Before you think it’s all negative, you can post positive comments about houses, but those are few and far between.
It’s a fun site to visit though, as long as you don’t take it too seriously.
