Police brutality?

So there’s a few reports of police brutality in New York recently.

Some of them have been caught on video, and posted on Youtube.

I’ll let you read the details behind this one specific case at the Critical Mass bike ride, and then see the video, and let you make up your mind.

The words come from a Yahoo story, found at this link:

“Afterward, authorities filed a criminal complaint saying the biker, Christopher Long, was arrested because he was obstructing traffic in the heart of Times Square.

“The complaint said Long, 29, deliberately steered his bicycle into the officer, causing both of them to fall to the ground. He was charged with attempted assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.”

Now, click the video below to see what the camera shows, and post your thoughts on if you believe the last statement that it was the cyclist’s fault:

that’s a tough call. the officer obviously charges the guy with aggression but it looks like the cyclist, by chance, was also aiming to clip the cop. he got more than he bargained for.

Something I just noticed. At about the 32 second mark, you see a guy on a bike stop, pick up the bike the guy was riding, and bike away with it. Theft! Right in front of the cops!
