TV thoughts

I figured I should do a post with my thoughts about TV shows before there’s nothing left to comment on.

Okay, so maybe that’s not entirely true, but it seems as if a lot of the TV shows I watch are being cancelled or have finished wrapping up their series.

24: Loved this show, but it created a problem of always trying to top itself. Once presidents have been killed and nuclear bombs exploded, how do you raise the level? Almost impossible.

Heroes: Got away from what made it popular in the first season, which is the fact it’s a comic book on the TV screen. Heroes would have the season-long story arc, but came up with major disappointments when it dealt with season-finale battles (never really had any) and the fact that none of the main characters ever died. It’s a battle of good vs evil: People need to die. The good guys don’t always win.

Lost: Wrapping itself up, and I think it’s a good thing. Seems like most people are anxious to get this show over with now, and I don’t imagine a lot of people would have held on for too many more seasons. (Quick note about this week’s episode: Ben is helping Fake Locke because Fake Locke promised him he could have the island to himself. But at the end, Fake Locke said he was planning to destroy the island. Why would Ben help him do that? It doesn’t make sense. So I expect Ben to stop Fake Locke somehow.)

Flashforward: Could have been so much better, but it was too slow at the beginning, and most people didn’t care about the romantic problems between Mark and Olivia Benford. It also never answered the main question, of why people couldn’t change the future (even though some tried to prove it could).

Law & Order: Okay, I haven’t seen this one in too many years, but it’s still sad that it’s going off the air. The best thing about Law & Order was the fact that you didn’t have to see all the episodes to know what was happening. You could watch any one at any point, and it didn’t matter. Each episode was a stand-alone, which is something that isn’t done very often anymore.

So the only shows left on television that I actually watch regularly (minus sports) is The Big Bang Theory, Republic of Doyle and Survivor. So the television stations better be bringing in some good shows, and pretty quickly too.

Anyways, there was one show this week that made want to write this blog post: Survivor. By now, you should know Sandra won. Okay, fine, I can deal with it. But what I can’t stand is the way people keep thinking Parvati was a better player than Russell. Excuse me? Did you not all watch the past season? The only reason Parvati wasn’t eliminated was because of Russell. Russell convinced Tyson to change his vote, and then gave Parvati the immunity idol so she’d be safe when Russell’s alliance was down 6-3 in the villains tribe. He later convinced Coach and Jerri to turn on Rob to shift the power around (despite the fact that Jerri couldn’t stand Parvati at the beginning of the game). Russell also convinced Candice to turn on the Heroes tribe and vote out Amanda instead of Parvati. Yet, all I keep hearing is how Parvati is a stronger player. Yeesh. Give me a break.

The problem with Russell isn’t with the way he plays the game. It’s the fact when he gets to finals, he doesn’t do a good enough job explaining why he deserves to win. His best bet would be to say “Look, the name of the game is to outwit and outplay, and while you’re all great players, I did exactly what was needed to get here. If I didn’t convince (insert player’s name) to turn, then I wouldn’t be here, and that means I wouldn’t be playing the game correctly. Now, while you may be upset that you’re on the jury, I believe I played the game worthy enough to win the money.” And then mention the things he did, like I mentioned in the paragraph above.

I can understand people wanting to give money to Sandra for the game she played (despite always being on the outskirts of her alliances, she always managed to survive), but to say Parvati is a better player than Russell is ludicrous.

Survivor stupidity

It’s no secret that I’ve been a fan of Survivor since the first season.

And when you’ve watched 20 different installments of the show, you get to learn a lot about the players and the strategy.

And of course, the stupidity of some people.

It never fails, that there are always people who play the game horrendously. It’s almost like they don’t even want to win a million dollars.

In all, there are five different types of stupidity on Survivor:

Lazy stupidity: Where you think you can do nothing around camp and still expect to win.

Hubris stupidity: Where you get too cocky, and it becomes your downfall.

Trusting stupidity: Where you trust the wrong people.

Meanness stupidity: Where you’re mean for no apparent reason, other than you think somehow you’ll win money by being mean to people.

Just plain stupidity: Where you do something of your own accord that is almost too stupid for words.

Last night, we got to see two examples of stupidity: one from each tribe.

One had to do with James. Yes, he’s a beast, but he’s never played the game well. He’s been blindsided while holding two immunities. He’s been injured twice. He yells at people. All in all, he’s not actually a very good player.

Last night, he fell victim to the hubris stupidity. He’s a strong man, no doubt about it. But he’s been injured. And Colby was designated to go home. Colby didn’t even try to save himself. But James knew people were worried about his leg, so instead of continuing to let it rest, he challenged JT to a race.

Now, JT would probably have beaten him in a race even if James’ leg wasn’t injured. But no matter, he was so proud of himself and what he could do. And during the race, JT started running backwards and still won easily!

If there were any doubt James was done, that was it. There was no way they could trust him on any challenges that involved running.

And just like that, James was done.

Now, on the Villains side, it was a different type of stupidity: Just plain stupidity.

Boston Rob had come up with a surefire plan to get rid of either Russell or his closest ally, Pavarti. All they had to do was vote three people for Russell, and three for Pavarti. Which ever one of them played the idol, the next would be gone in the tiebreaking vote, which the six people voted for one of them.

But Tyson was worried for some reason. Russell had said he was voting for Parvati. So Tyson decided to change his vote and vote for Parvati.

Of course, Russell didn’t change his vote, and gave the idol to Pavarti. Since votes for her didn’t count, Tyson lost 3-2 and was kicked off.

Now, the way I see it, even if Russell said he was voting for Pavarti, that didn’t mean Tyson had to change his vote. By not changing his vote, he was safe regardless of what happened. But by changing it, there was a chance he was going home.

So of course, Tyson decided to do one of the most bonehead moves in all of Survivor (I’d rank it in the top five), and changed his vote.

Really Tyson? Could you be that stupid? Apparently.

My all-star Survivor team

So this week starts what could be the most interesting all-stars edition of a reality show.

Normally, I find these all-star editions to be a little dull. The first one on Survivor was pretty brutal, and the Fans vs. Favorites was horrible because there were too many stupid players. Nothing destroys a season of Survivor more than stupid people. Stupid moves are fines (for example, trusting the wrong person). But to do the wrong thing all the time is just sad.

But this time they brought some of the greatest players in the game together, called Heroes vs Villains. These are all smart or strong players.

But some of them leave me shaking my head. I think if you’re going to do this, then you shouldn’t have previous winners on, or people who have been on it twice.

So here are some former contestants that should have been on, one from each of the previous editions (minus the All-Stars editions).

Season 1: Gervase Peterson

This one was tough. I eliminated Rudy, Sue and Rich because of the fact they’ve been on twice already. I really wanted to choose Kelly Wiglesworth, who was part of the final two with Rich. But I don’t think she played enough of a strategy game.

So I decided to go with Gervase because he played a good social game. People loved him, and he would be a fun guy to have on Survivor. One of the good things about the show at the beginning was the fact it wasn’t all about alliances. Half the show would be about them actually surviving. Gervase brought a lot of fun to it, and it would be interesting to see how a fun guy would do nowadays, especially with all the strategy. Jenna was a good example of this. She was a fun person in the first season, but turned into a strategist when she came back for the all-stars. Would Gervase be the same?

Season 2: Michael Skupin

Sure sure. Everyone remembers Colby and Jerry. But to me, none of that tribe would have stood a chance had Skupin remained in the game. He was the first player to ever leave the game without being voted off.

For those who don’t remember, Skupin was the king of the jungle in Australia. He made himself a spear and actually killed a boar with it. He was in a challenge where the other team had to put weight on a pole he held across his shoulders: The contest ended when the pole snapped.

Skupin’s Survivor quest was finished when he fell into a fire and burned himself pretty badly. I have no doubt that he won have won the whole thing had he stayed in the game.

Season 3: Frank Garrison

Frank is probably best remembered as the guy who imitated an elephant. But he was a man who brought a lot to the game.

Most of his time was spent arguing with his younger tribemates, whom he didn’t belong with. He worked hard, and believed his word was enough. With him, there was no backstabbing, no lies, no deceit. But because he could be trusted, a lot of people would probably make deals with him, wanting to go to the end.

Season 4: Hunter Ellis

This is the season that gave us Boston Rob, but he’s already been on twice. So the next best choice would be Hunter Ellis. He was the leader of a tribe that couldn’t keep it together, and was the third one voted out., thanks to Boston Rob (Rob wanted to keep people he could control, which wasn’t Hunter). The former Navy aviator was strong, smart and (for the women) eye candy.

But being voted out third doesn’t matter. He could have been a strong player, and could have won quite a few immunities. I think voting out Hunter so early is one of the reasons why some of the stronger players lost so early, leaving the door wide open for four week finalists.

Season 5: Erin Collins

The worst season of Survivor in history (even Jeff Probst called it the worst season of the first 10). I ended up not caring about anyone in the final 8. Most people, even hardcore fans, probably don’t remember Brian Heidik, who won, much less most of the other players (give Brian credit though, he never received one single vote during any of the tribal councils).

So if you had to take someone, I’d go with Erin Collins. She was stuck in a numbers game, but was well-liked enough that the other team kept her around as long as they could. Plus, she would be eye candy for the fellows.

Season 6: Heidi Strobel

Her best friend on the show, Jenna Morasca, won the whole thing. But Heidi had played a good game up until she lost when the final five were three guys and two girls.

She also peeled off her clothes for peanut butter, and later posed in Playboy, so she deserves to make it to an All-Stars edition.

Season 7: Andrew Savage

One of the best seasons of the show, and probably the best one since the first season. (Notice how the seasons are now getting better, while seasons 2-5 weren’t very good? Chalk that up to better players and a better cast selection). Savage was another one of those players who got the short end of the stick after a merge because he was too good.

But Savage was well-liked, focused on getting rid of the weak players to make his own tribe better. He would be a good strong competitor for this game, and deserves to be back.

Season 8: All-Star edition, so no one can come from this one, because that means they would be on more than two seasons.

Season 9: Twila Tanner

This goes down as the second most stupid season of Survivor ever. It was guys versus girls, and the weak guys kept voting off the strong guys, so they kept losing all their challenges. At the merge, the guys were outnumbers, and were picked off one by one. And then when it was one guy left and six girls, the girls turned on each other. Then, they were so bitter at one another, they voted for the guy to win the million dollars.

So choosing someone from this season was kind of tough. I decided to go with Twila because she was the runnerup. And that’s pretty much the only reason. Eliza and Ami went on all-star editions, and the winner can’t be on the tribes according to my rules. So Twila it is.

Season 10: Ian Rosenberger

This is the season that gave us Tom, one of the most dominating players ever in the game. He’s back as part of the Heroes tribe this season, but because he won, he’s not eligible for this exercise anyways.

So that leaves Ian, probably the best player to not make the final two. He was strong, likeable, and honourable. He had a chance to go to the final two, but made Tom keep his promise to vote out Ian. He definitely deserves another chance.

Season 11: Rafe Judkins

This was a tough one, because so many of the good players have already been on it more than once. But Judkins played the game shrewdly. His original alliance was falling apart because his tribe kept losing, and then he was mixed into the other tribe. But he helped convince someone to turn on their tribe, and that was the start of his alliance dominating the game.

He did make a classic Survivor mistake. At the final three, he told Danni that she didn’t have to take him to the final two, and that any previous promises were null and void. Danni took Stephanie instead, and Rafe was a little upset about it. But he kind of brought that onto himself.

Would he make the same mistake twice? Probably not, and that would put him into a dangerous position in an all-star game.

Season 12: Terry Deitz

Every once in a while, Survivor seems to want to stay in the news by starting off seasons with gimmicks. They rarely work, such as the case here.

At the beginning, they divided the players into four tribes: old men, young men, old women and young women. Not very exciting stuff. They stopped it after the first episode.

But Terry turned out to be one of the most dangerous people never to make it to the finals. He found the hidden immunity idol, but never had to play it because he won five straight individual immunity challenges (and three of the last four reward challenges).

Season 13: Brad Virata

Honestly, I would much prefer Yul to be here. With all due respect to guys like Rich and Todd, I would argue Yul was actually the best person to ever play the game. He kept his word and his alliance strong, despite being down eight members to four at one point. He was a strong competitor, and a brilliant strategist.

But, because he won, I can’t use him in this genre. I also can’t use Ozzy, Parvati or Penner because they were on a later all-star edition. So I decided to go with Brad Virata. A strong player whose big mouth got him into trouble (pretty much saying it would be every man for himself when the merge happened), Brad would be an underdog in an all-star edition. But as Parvati showed, even the underdogs can win an all-star game since the big guns go after one another.

Season 14: Cassandra Franklin

I wasn’t a big fan of this season, mostly because of the Haves vs the Have-nots portion at the beginning of the season. It created some pretty lopsided results, which is never a good thing.

So because of my attention not being fully into this season, it’s hard to choose someone who should be there. Most would take Yau-Man, but that can’t happen since he’s been on the show twice already. So I decided to take one of the two finalists.

One wasn’t really worthy more than the other, but I went with Cassandra instead of Dreamz because of Dreamz broken promise to Yau-Man. Yau-Man gave the car he won to Dreamz if Dreamz would give him immunity at the final four (he didn’t). I think that would affect the rest of the cast, making it an easy decision when it’s time to vote someone out at the beginning on an all-star edition (similar to Johnny Fairplay in the Fans vs Favourites season).

Season 15: Peih-Gee Law

It’s hard to compete against one of the top three Survivor players of all time (Todd). But Peih-Gee had done a good job, winning a few immunity challenges and being a smart social player.

She also proved to be a bit of a drama queen, as she got upset that she wasn’t taken on reward challenges. That would make for some good television in an all-star edition.

At one point, she won two immunities and a reward challenge in three weeks, showing how tough a player she is.

Season 16: Joel Anderson

The Fans vs Favourites produced more stupidity in one season of Survivor than every other season combined. Blindsides, the fans tribe voting out their strongest players at the beginning because of alpha male issues and one guy giving up his immunity at tribal council only to be immediately voted out.

It was no surprise that the favourites ended up dominating.

So it was difficult to choose someone from the fans tribe to represent this season. Erik gave up his immunity necklace, so he’s out. Chet whined and eventually asked to be voted out, so he’s no good.

I decided to go with Joel because he’s strong, and did have a good head for the game. He was lacking in the social aspect, and was voted out because Cirie didn’t want the weaker players to go since she would be one of them. But I think he would learn from his mistakes, and not be blindsided again.

Season 17: Jessica Kiper, aka Sugar

It always amazes me how personal some contestants can get on this show. Any time there’s the final vote and the jury votes for one person because they’re mad at the other one because they got outwitted, that’s just silly. Admit you got beat, and move on.

This season was probably a bit harsher than any other one, especially on Sugar. There were a couple of people who were on the show who purposefully tried to be the “bad” guy (to the effect they appeared petty instead). But when Sugar kept outlasting them, they got upset and would openly insult her. Sour grapes much?

Anyways, Sugar ended up outlasting most of them to make it to the final three, where she didn’t get one vote, despite the fact she deserved it. She figured out the hidden immunity challenge, she aligned herself with the right people when the time was right, and played a good social game.

The final thought on this season was that it produced a lot of good players. Besides Sugar, and Bob (the winner), other great players included Ken Hoang and Matty Whitmore. Of course, in the Survivor world, it’s better to bring Randy into an all-star edition instead of someone who actually deserves it more.

Season 18: Stephen Fishbach

It’s not too often that both finalists deserve to win the million dollars, but that definitely was the case in Season 18. Although J.T. won thanks to his tenacity and southern charm, Stephen was just as deserving for playing a smart game. He was the brains behind the alliance, and without him, J.T. could not have won.

As you can probably tell by now, it’s not necessarily brawn that makes someone deadly at this game, it’s a combination. They need to have two of smarts, brawn and social game. If you have only one, you won’t make it very far. Stephen had the brains and some of the social game, but that fell to J.T., who had all three.

Season 19: Russell Hantz

Without a doubt the best strategist in the game since Yul. Although he nearly cost himself the game several times. Burning others’ socks and emptying their water canteens to make them weak may have caused his tribe to lose several challenges.

And in the end he fell to the ultimate Survivor curse: The moment you get cocky and think you have the game all figured out, you get voted out. That’s what happened in the end.

But he was smart enough to find three hidden immunity idols (two of them with no clues), which helped him stay in the game on several occasions. He was smart enough to align himself with people loyal enough that they would never even consider getting rid of him.

Overall and thoughts about this season

• An interesting thought: Wouldn’t it be fun if they decided to bring back all those who were the first to be eliminated each season. I wonder how many great players never had a chance to compete because they were gone too quickly. One season had two captains choose teams, with the final two eliminated without ever actually doing anything. Bring them all back, and let’s see if any of them are any good. (Maybe that could be the next all-star edition: the first eliminated against a tribe of winners).

• One of the problems with the way Heroes vs Villians is set up is that so many of the contestants come from the last few seasons. The first 10 season are hardly heard from, which is a shame. It’d be nice to have someone from every season, and really, this is the only year you could actually do it before the tribes would get too big.

• Seriously, how do the Heroes tribe lose anything this time round? Have you seen the list of players? They have Rupert, James, Colby, J.T. and Tom (plus Amanda and Stephanie for the girls). That team should be able to dominate, unless a few of them have had hip surgery in the last few years.

• But I swear, if these people don’t get rid of Cirie after four weeks, then all these people deserve to be called stupid. She plays everyone every time, despite not doing anything in challenges and being weak around camp. The Heroes should hopefully be smart enough to see through her right away.

JT wins Survivor

As I’m sure most of you know, JT won Survivor Tocantins last night.

JT, here with Sierra, was one of the best overall competitors Survivor has ever seen.

JT, here with Sierra, was one of the best overall competitors Survivor has ever seen.

It was a great finale show up until the actual vote, and then an even better reunion show.

Just a few quick random thoughts about the ending:

• Stephen’s strategy at the jury was sound at the beginning, but he quickly went off it. Coach seemed to like the fact that he played with honour, and wouldn’t say anything bad about JT, but then ended up slagging him a few questions later. If you’re going to go in with a strategy, stick with it.

• Even though everyone was think Stephen was the better talker, JT dominated him at the jury last night when it came to talking.

• You can always tells when a vote is going to be a landslide. If it was a 4-3 final, then they would show six votes, and wouldn’t say who the deciding vote was for. But when they don’t show any votes as the jury is writing down the name, it means it’s a landslide.

• Jeff never really asked if Stephen and JT were still good friends, and what happened after they left Brazil.

•I was surprised Taj made it so far. Early in the game, she said her husband was former NFL player Eddie George. I thought that was it for her right there.

Stephen made it all the way to the final two, but didnt plead his case well.

Stephen made it all the way to the final two, but didn't plead his case well.

•I thought Stephen was going to win the final immunity in the beginning. But he seemed to not be able to concentrate, as he had a lot of trouble catching the balls.

• At the finale, Coach showed he took a lie detector test. But the questions didn’t make sense. There wasn’t enough detail to know if he’s lying or not. It would be like me taking a lie detector test saying “do you write a blog,” after I told everyone it was the second most popular WordPress blog out there.

• When Survivor does something so people can vote online for a contestant to win $100,000, they should have a caveat that the Survivor winner can’t be nominated. The winner already has $1 million. So maybe something like all the votes for the winner are null, and it goes to the next runner-up.

• When JT was announced as the winner of the $100,000, he whispered something to Stephen, but the microphones never picked it up. I wonder what it was. Anyone know?

Twitter me this, Twitter me that

So Twitter seems to be the latest social network phenomenon that has taken over the Internet.

Twitter is the latest greatest thing online.

Twitter is the latest "greatest" thing online.

For full disclosure, I have a Twitter account, and I think it’s a good thing. You can follow people you wouldn’t be friends with on Facebook.

Some see it as something not needed, but I think it’s a great new communication tool.

I can use it to follow certain blogs I like, as they give updates when they post new things.

I can use it to be entertained by comedians who are actually funny.

And I can use it to follow parodies of people, which are some of the funniest things out there.

The list below is some of the people I follow, and one of their most recent tweets. Enjoy!

Real life

Joan Rivers: They once said that a black man would be president when pigs fly. His first 100 days and *bam!!!* swine flu.

Kevin Nealon has a Twitter account, and is one of the funniest out there.

Kevin Nealon: If I throw a flashlight that is turned on then I am throwing it at the speed of light. End of story.

Ellen: Just another typical Monday on the show. Hilarious web videos, great music, Heidi Klum took off her clothes…The usual.

Doyle Brunson: luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity

Earl Emerson: so new at this I forgot how to log on. Just answering e-mails, which tend to pile up when I’m busy working on a book. Maybe a movie deal.

Parodies

There is a parody Twitter account of Coach from Survivor.

Coach from Survivor: Of course I won immunity, I invented the grappling hook. Made it out of lion teeth and used it to scale the walls of an ancient Mayan temple.

Glen Sather: Didn’t want Redden to drop down to the ice to block Fedorov’s GWG last night in Game 7. He has 5 years left, can’t have him getting injured!

Brian Burke: Wade Redden looks disinterested, worn down and flat out terrible against the Leafs tonight. Or, as he calls it, “playoff form”.

Survivor finale

So the Survivor final was last night.

And once again, the show proves that as soon as you get cocky, you’re going to get booted. Originally it was the Kota tribe, who dominated the early-season challenges. So Marcus, Charlie and Corrine got the boot. When Randy got cocky, he got the boot. Then it was Kenny. Finally, Sugar was confident that Susie Smith couldn’t win the final challenge. So you can guess who won.

For the most part, most of the players were likable.

Corrine, though, is another story. She said during the show that if people say you’re nice, that means you have no personality. Then that means on the flip side, if people can only say you’re mean, that must mean you don’t have a personality as well.

So Corrine has absolutely no personality. She is mean, and that’s about it. She tried to be funny, but isn’t. She tries to be sexy, but isn’t. She tries to be sarcastic, but fails. She just doesn’t have any personality, so she tries to be mean. That’s why she says she loves it and the boos, because it’s an act.

Think of when Jerri was on the show. During the all-stars reunion, she left the stage when she got booed because it upset her. She was more naturally mean, but she didn’t revel it in. Corrine is an act.

Same thing for Randy. You could tell he was trying to be angry and mopey and not laugh or smile, but he couldn’t help himself. That isn’t him either, but an act he put on.

Sugar deserves better than what she got. She played the game with her heart. She outwitted so many people, but they hated her for it. Jealousy rears her ugly head. I can never understand why so many people can say it’s a game, but hold such bitterness, and not vote for the best player.

And I was mostly surprised that science professor Bob Crowley didn’t do even better in the final vote. He received four votes to Suzy’s three. How did Suzy get three votes? She was the least worthy finalist of the final five. Only former Olympic gold medalist Crystal was worse (she was useless at camp, in challenges and Kenny did all the thinking).

Overall though, a very enjoyable season of Survivor. One of the best of all time.

And the Emmy goes to….

So the Emmys are tonight.

Does anyone actually care?

I only found out about it by fluke. I don’t know anyone who watches these things. There’s just too many award shows nowadays for any one of them to mean anything.

Maybe it’s just the shows I watch nowadays. Or maybe I’m tired of seeing one show get nominated in 87 categories (it reeks of laziness when only a few shows get a chance to shine on the big stage).

The only show I watch that got nominated for a big award is Lost and Survivor (and even that only got best host). Lost was only nominated twice. I don’t watch Mad Men, or Two and a Half Men, or anything else with Men in the title. I’ve never seen an episode of House, Entourage, or How I Met Your Mother (even when Britney Spears was on it).

I do watch Heroes. How could no one from Heroes get nominated for anything? Not one award?!?

But most of the awards have the same shows nominated. Dull, dull, dull. More people watch the pre-show red carpet show than the awards show, just to see what everyone is wearing.

Thanks goodness there’s a good NFL football game on (Green Bay Packers taking on the Dallas Cowboys).

Fire the teacher

My wife is a teacher. I understand the pressures they go through. Sometimes they are a babysitter to 30 kids, other times they are seen as a villian who just don’t understand. But most teachers give it their all, and deserve to be thanked.

That’s why what a teacher did in Florida is horrible, and she deserves to fired.

Student Alex Barton, who is being tested for autism, was sent to the principal’s office. When he returned, the teacher, Wendy Portillo, made him stand in front of the class. The other 16 students then had to give reasons why they don’t like Alex.

Then, in a crazy scene from Survivor, the class voted 14-2 to kick Alex out.

By the way, Alex is five years old, and is in kindergarten (you can read the full story here).

That is disgusting. What type of power trip was this woman on that she decided to play real-life Survivor.

Alex doesn’t want to go back to school, and who can blame him.

Hopefully, the school board there wises up and gets rid of the teacher. I wouldn’t want my kids to be taught by her, and hopefully, no one else would.

Stupidest season of Survivor

I finally managed to get caught up on this season of Survivor. Going into tonight’s season finale, I just have one thought:

Man, these people are the stupidest people that have been on Survivor yet.

For those who havent watched, it’s fans versus favourites. Ten fans went up against 10 former Survivor contestants.

The stupidity started off in the beginning when the fans started booting off strong players because of a stupid alpha male issue. Then, they kept saving the weaker players, like Chet, who all voluntarily left the game anayways. Then, there were four consecutive weeks of players being blindsided and not knowing what was going on. The final o newas when a player, Erik, who knew he was the next to go, gave up his immunity. He was then voted out by everyone in the tribe.

I’m sure even Jeff Probst, who has seen a lot of stupidity throughout the 16 seasons on the show, is saying, “Man, you guys are dumb.”

Maybe they should start doing IQ  tests before joining the show.

The worst is Natalie. This girl is so cocky, but she hasn’t done much. It was Cirie’s idea to get Erik to give up his immunity. It was Parvati’s idea to blindside Ozzy. Natalie acts like she’s the strongest players, but is pretty much useless.

Thankfully, the season ends tonight. It will be nice to watch it again when there are smart people on the show.
