Congratulations to the Detroit Red Wings, and an even bigger congrats to Dan Cleary fro Harbour Grace, the first ever Newfie to have his name inscribed on the Stanley Cup. The Wings won the Cup after defeating the Pens 4-2.
I love the fact Cleary was the third person to raise the cup. It shows that the Wings know how important this was to him, with the weight of Newfoundlanders on his shoulders.

We’re very proud to have Dan representing Detroit and our storied franchise. This win is big because my hometown needs all the happiness it can get, with our economy being so bad (and the Tigers are horrible!).
